Camp Invention

 Summer is just around the corner! Keep your kids involved in learning and fun!

Camp Invention will be hosted in Washington for the 14th year! 

June 10-14, 2024

9AM-3PM (with an Extended Day option available)

Held at Stewart Elementary

For Kids that will enter Kindergarten - 6th grade next school year (will be in similar age groups all week)

Local teachers will instruct and high school students will be with groups! 

Kids will:
*Develop their own sports ball and customize a light-up game as they explore athletics, design and innovation

*Discover the science of light through illuminating inventions and fluorescent animals, then building a one-of-a-kind Glow Box using circuitry and ultraviolet lights to take home!

*Embark on a global operation to tackle water challenges around the world, and will create a robotic lab-on-wheels

*Mold and shape their own ideas into a brand new invention using everyday items and a DIY toolbox

All 5th graders are going to West Branch to the Herbert Hoover Presidential Museum!!

Rosa Parks and Friends

Here is what the flyer says- "Take a journey through time with Rosa Parks, as she introduces your class to some of the most remarkable figures in history, including Frederick Douglass, William Lloyd Garrison, and, of course, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. An important story for your class, this show gives a remarkable view of the challenges met by these amazing Black Americans. This historical journey will delight and inspire audiences with the triumphant power of the human spirit shown by these true heroes of history."
